POINT3 Language Center offers the official TEF and TEFaQ Tests every Wednesday. Please call us for the next available date. Places are limited and are reserved on a first come, first served basis.

TEF: Test d’évaluation de Français
The TEF is an official French language test used to determine a person’s level of proficiency in the language. This is the official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris‘ proficiency test.
The results of the test are individual and are validated by an official document that attests the linguistic and communication objectives achieved. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris presents a certificate that is recognized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada for applicants under the “Skilled Workers” category. The results of the TEF Obligatoire and TEF Facultative (Compréhension écrite et Compréhension orale) are thus recognized by CIC.

Compréhension orale: Oral Comprehension
Lexique et structure: Lexicon and Structure
FEE: $290.00 CAD
TEF Facultative Expression écrite: Written Expression
FEE: $100.00 CAD
TEF Facultatif Expression Orale :Oral Expression
FEE: $155.00 CAD
*The Elective tests can only be taken as complements to the mandatory test.

TEFaQ: Test d’évaluation de français adapté au Québec
The TEFAQ is recognized by the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) du Québec for immigration applications. The MICC also takes into consideration the results of the TEF; however, the elective TEF Oral Expression test must also be taken. Another advantage of the TEFAQ is that in some cases, employers may use the results of the TEFAQ in their hiring process to evaluate your French language skills.

40 minutes / 60 questions / 360 points
Oral Expression (Expression orale – EO)
40 minutes / 2 subjects / 450 points
