TEF CANADA Exam
Applications for Canadian Citizenship:
ORAL EXPRESSION and ORAL COMPREHENSION ONLY
Applications for Immigration Canada Permanent Residence:
ORAL EXPRESSION / ORAL COMPREHENSION / WRITTEN COMPREHENSION and WRITTEN EXPRESSION
Required competencies MUST be taken on the same day for Citizenship or PR Canada.

TEFAQ Exam
As there are many ways to immigrate through Quebec, it is the candidate's responsibility to select all competencies that are required.
The four possible exam competencies are:

TEF Exam
The TEF, used to assess oral and written competencies in French, also includes a module for "Lexique et Structure".
Each competency can be taken separately, or together, depending on the candidate's needs.
The TEF consists of the following five options.

TEF IRN Exam
TEF Intégration, Résidence et Nationalité is a new combined exam required by the French government and French organizations
The test is used to obtain a residence permit (level A2) and for naturalization procedures (level B1) as well as the A1 level for Integration.
The TEF IRN is one test wth four integral parts CO / EO / CE / EE
They are all taken on the same day.
** Note: This test is not used for Quebec or Canada immigration purposes.

How to Register for an Exam

Choose your test (TEF Québec / TEF Canada or TEF)

Select the date and time.

Click on "Résever maintenant"

Check the information on your request.

Click on "Continue shopping" to add other skills if necessary, or click on "Procéder au paiement"

Read and check off that you have read the "Refund and Cancellation Policy" and the "Registration and Test-Taking Conditions" (In French only)

Fill out the registration form, check the box "J'accepte les conditions" and click "Continuer"

Enter the name of the person registering and complete the payment.
That's it, you've signed up!
Be sure to review the information on the form, errors may occur. Once the payment is made, the Refund and Cancellation Policy will apply.

Candidates must respect a 20-day waiting period between exam dates if you are doing a re-take of the exam.
